A solid oak platform bed with a slat base, so it takes a mattress directly and you can skip the box spring entirely. Seven inches of clearance underneath fits standard storage boxes. The centre support rail and 14 slats are what stop the middle sagging after a year.

Care instructions
Dust with a dry, soft cloth along the grain. Wipe spills immediately and dry at once. Do not use ammonia, bleach or silicone polish. Solid wood moves with humidity, so keep the room between 35 and 55 percent relative humidity where you can.

Edges are eased and sanded. Inspect for transit damage before assembly and do not use a component with a split or splintered edge.
Hardware
Use only the hardware supplied. Do not substitute fixings or over-tighten. Retighten all fixings after the first month and every six months thereafter.
